Hylomar

It is a polyester urethane based sealant that is non-setting and non-hardening, even at high temperatures. It is a highly engineered and can be used to seal joint faces or threaded parts. Has unlimited assembly time and that allows to adjust joints after applied. Has a wide operating temperature range (-50 to +250ºC). Resistant to water, fuels, oils, coolants, gases etc. Does not chemically bond with metals or other substances. ​It is blue color. DVGW approved.

Usage: The surfaces should be clean and dry. Apply a thin, even coating on both sides and allow sufficient time for the solvent to evaporate. Then the components can be assembled. There is no need to install components immediately after the product is applied to the surface. Due to the characteristics of Hylomar, assembled components may need to be retightened. For the bolt load, tighten the required torque, let the sealant settle for a few minutes, then retighten. It can be cleaned from disintegrated components by rubbing it with a cloth dipped in acetone. The product does not need to be scraped off.
